Sorry it's been so long...

SOOO SORRY everyone!! It's been forever since I've updated! I started writing this on April 26 but got so busy with finals and work and registering for Theresa that I just never found the time to finish. Here we go... and hopefully I don't forget anything!

Okay so on Sunday April 19 at about 6:30 P.M. I felt Theresa kick me for the first time!! It was the coolest thing I have ever felt! I was sitting on my loveseat typing on my lap top that was on the TV tray so I was hunched over and all of a sudden I feel pounding on my right side. I knew exactly what it was. It was nothing I had ever felt before. A lot of people say it feels like gas but it's much more solid than gas, it feels like someone is punching me from the inside! Haha My mom was here when I first felt her. She was on the computer and I called her in the living room and she said when she saw my face she knew that I felt her because I was in such shock! I haven't stopped feeling her since. I noticed that I feel her the most when I'm hungry and when I lay down at night to go to sleep. The kicks have gotten more frequent and way stronger since then. And she seems to think my bladder is a space walk! She just loves jumping on it.

I didn't see Gabe for over a week because of school and I refused to let anyone else feel her until he did, so Thursday night (April 30) I spent the night over at his place and he got to feel her a whole bunch! It was the most I had felt her move! And it was the WIERDEST thing ever...it felt like she stood up inside me!!! Haha I know she didn't but it sure felt like it...I think she was flipping or something. Gabe and I were laying in bed watching a movie and all of a sudden I felt pressure on the top of my stomach and on my back so Gabe put his hand where I felt it and freaked out cuz you could tell where she was! It was really wierd! I felt it twice. Oh and for the first time ever I SAW her kick! Gabe's hand jumped where she kicked...it was really cool! And everytime Gabe is around and puts his hand on my stomach she kicks soooo much!! It's like she knows he's touching me! She's so gunna be a Daddy's Girl!!

I got in a bikini for the first time since I've been pregnant!! My brother Jason had a party at his house the day before Mother's Day and Samantha, his girlfriend, wanted me to go. I borrowed one of Natalie's tops since none of mine fit me anymore! Omg it was so weird! Everyone was freaking out about my boobs! haha And my belly! And Samantha got to feel Theresa move a bunch when we were laying by the pool. She said that Theresa was messing with us because of the way she was kicking. And Samantha and I went shopping for maternity clothes and I needed a bathing suit of my own for Florida and I found one! Here is what I look like in it...haha I'm huge!!

And I had my first Mother's Day (May 10)...well some people disagree with me but the way that I see it is I take care of her so I am a mother. Anyways...me, my mom, dad, Aunt Dinky, and my two cousins Natalie and Krystle tried to go to the zoo but it was way too packed! The line was through the parking lot. So we decided to go to Superior Grill...it was a lot of fun! Krystle and Dinky got to feel Theresa move for the first time! And Krystle and I got up to go to the bathroom and on the way there this old man pointed at my belly and said "What do we have here?" and I said a girl! And he was like "oh lord another girl!" haha it was so cool having someone know I was pregnant. It really is an awesome feeling!

So being pregnant has many benefits! One day for work I had to go to Rite Aid to pick up some gatorade for the kids that I am a nanny for and this older man let me go before him in line because I was pregnant! We both walked up to the line at the same time and he looked at my belly and said "you can go in front of me sweetie" I was like omg thank you!! haha it was pretty cool. Then a few days later I was picking up cookies from a bakery for my boss and when I walked in a wave of heaven hit me! It smelt so freaking good!!! I wanted a donut so bad but I didn't have any cash and you have to spend 7 dollars to use your card so I was like I guess I'll pass and the lady who worked there was like "oh you can have one, I know how it is when you're hungry and don't have any cash" and I was like "yeah and pregnant!" and she's like "oh giiiirrrllll, take two! one for you and one for the baby!" I was like omg you are an angel!!!!! And they were the best donuts ever!! It was pretty awesome! I sure am gunna miss being pregnant! lol

Okay Gabe and I had the biggest scare of our lives on Tuesday May 12. I was hanging out at his house before work and I started bleeding a lot! Like a lot of blood not just spotting. So I called the doctor's office and told them what was going on and they told me to come in immediately. Gabe called my boss and told her I wouldn't be able to come in. On the way to the doctor's office I called my mom and she asked if I was in pain, which I wasn't. I didn't feel anything at all. The whole way there, which seemed like forever, everything and anything was running through my head but I tried to stay as calm as possible. We got to see the doctor in about 5-10 minutes of being there. He did an ultra sound and everything was great! Theresa was moving a lot and her heartbeat was fine. The doctor checked all kinds of stuff in there and he said he can't see anything wrong so he did an exam. As soon as he started he said it was my cervix. He saw a rough patch on the posterior edge of my cervix that they call a Polyp, which is a ball of cells attached to my cervix. He said a lot of activity, pressure, or sex could cause it to rupture. He said there's no harm to the baby and there's nothing he can do but I will need to slow things down a lot. No exercise, lifting of anything, etc. for a while. He told me to keep my appointment the following Thursday May 21 so he can do a follow up to make sure I'm healing okay. I was so freakin relieved that's all it was and that Theresa was just fine. Gabe was so calm and so supportive and without him there I probably would have freaked out! But from now on I will definitely be taking it easy! I never want to feel what I felt that day again!!

Anyways....I think Theresa is set with clothes!! Haha not really but she does have a whole bunch of stuff! Everyone has been so great and generous! They are the cutest things ever! I love, love, love girl clothes! The little dresses and all the pink and purples...too cute!

And Theresa's Uncle JayJay threw her and her cousin PJ a humongous stuffed monkey on St. Patricks Day!
And her Grandpa bought her and her two cousins Beckham and PJ the goldest, biggest piggy bank ever! Theresa is gunna love it!

And big news....Gabe graduated from Tulane University on May 16! It was so awesome seeing him walk across the stage, especially after all the hard work and the many sleepless nights that he endured! I couldn't be more proud of him and I can't wait to watch him walk across the stage again next year when he gets his Masters! And Theresa will get to see him too!

And of course here is my belly pic and baby ticker! I will do my best to keep the updates more frequent!

It's a Hamburger, Not a Turtle!!!!

Yup, that's right....IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! I can't believe it! As much as I wanted a girl I was really expecting to see a boy! It's the craziest feeling ever!!! Knowing that we are going to have a DAUGHTER! It's so weird...I can't even explain it.
Okay, so I'll run ya'll through my day. First of all, I couldn't sleep for anything last night. I kept waking up and then having trouble falling back asleep! I ended up waking up around 8:30 this morning to get ready for school. I had class at 11 and could barely sit still and the class couldn't go by nearly fast enough! I got out of class at 12:15 and went straight to Gabe's. We went to lunch before our appointment. I couldn't get to the hospital fast enough...I probably shouldn't have been driving since I was so anxious. My nerves were going crazy!

We got to the hospital at 1:30 and signed in. They brought me in the room and got me ready for the doctor. I was going CRAZY! All of a sudden I started laughing uncontrollably and Gabe was like what's so funny? And I pretty much screamed out of excitement "I'M SO EXCITED I CAN'T STAND IT!!" My hands were shaking and I was so jittery. So finalllllly the ultra sound tech came in and started the ultra sound. When the baby first came up on the screen I got teary eyed. She had to measure a whole bunch of things and check the baby to make sure everything was going as planned...which it was! While she was doing this, we could see the baby moving her hands and feet and it was so amazing! Then FINALLY she said I could call my mom cuz she was about to say what it was. I called her and the nurse said "It's a baby girl!" My mom couldn't hear her so well so I repeated it and when I did I started crying so hard. My mom was so excited! I hung up the phone and looked at Gabe, he had a big smile on his face! I was in shock! I could finally say SHE! I didn't want the ultra sound to end. But it did. She said everything is good, she's the right size and her heartbeat is strong, 154 bpm.

After the appointment we went to see Dr. VonAlmen. We waited in the waiting room for a little while so we called our families and friends to tell them the news. Gabe's mom was the first he talked to and she so so excited! It sounded like she was going to cry...which made me cry! Then his Granny and sister and they were both just as excited! His dad was too! I called my sister and she couldn't believe it! She, just like me, just wants to buy girl clothes!!! Haha! I sent out a mass text to all of my friends and some of my family and everyone was so excited for us! I called my Dad's mom and she knew it was going to be a girl! My Aunt Debbie wished me luck with a girl....haha! My Great Grandmother guessed it was a boy when I asked her and couldn't believe it when I said girl! It's so great to have everyone's support and we are very greatful! Thanks everyone!
We showed Dr. VonAlmen the pictures and he said "that's definitely a hamburger and not a turtle!!" We thought that was hilarious! And it's so true! It looks like a little bitty hamburger! Haha! After that we went to Babies R Us to buy her her first dresses!! We got 4 dresses and we bought a hat to go with one! They are so cute! I can't wait to have a whole closet full! There were so many things we wanted to get but we didn't want to go over board! And when we were checking out the girl behind the counter ASKED ME HOW FAR ALONG I WAS!!!! That's the first person to ask me that!!! I know I was at Babies R Us buying baby clothes but still, I could have been buying for someone else! I was so excited when she asked me!

So I know everyone is wondering what we are going to name her. It's not 100% but I think we are going with THERESA GRACIELA OCAMPO! And for a nickname we are thinking Reese! And please everyone do not call her Terry! Haha! Well, now I get to look forward to the 3D/4D ultra sound! There's always something new! Oh and now we have to find out what Jason and Sam are going to have!

Here Comes the Belly Button!!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't written in a while, I was busy with school and work as always! But I am on Spring Break this week so I have a little more free time on my hands! So a lot has been going on these past two weeks! As many of you know my nephew and godson was born on March 25, 2009 at 9:40 P.M.! He was 6 pounds 8 ounces and is the most beautiful thing ever!

Ugh and bad news...I STILL haven't felt Baby Ocampo!! Every night I drink a glass of orange juice and lay on the couch with my mom and try to feel it but NOTHING! Ugh it's getting very frustrating. Oh well I guess I have a lazy baby or something! Haha

Annnddd...my belly button is about to pop out!!! ALREADY! I can't believe it! Haha I'm gunna have a big button on my belly...it's gunna look so weird! But I should have known this was gunna happen since I had an outie when I was a kid and somehow it became an innie...don't ask! So, I'm starting to feel more pregnant...well pregnant looking. I don't feel pregnant anymore though. I'm not sick anymore and I can't feel the baby yet, so I'm stuck in the middle!! Which is funny cuz I'm almost to the middle of my pregnancy! Haha! The only thing that's been bothering me is everytime I stand up to fast I get very light headed. I guess I just need to start slowing it down a bit!

OMG!!! Only 9 more days until we find out if we are going to have a son or a daughter!! I can't freakin wait! Ah it's all so crazy! And it's happening so fast!

Okay well here are my belly pics (I forgot to take week 17) and updates!

Baby Ocampo: He/she is about 6 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 8.5 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
Mommy: Your cardiovascular system is undergoing dramatic changes, and during this trimester your blood pressure will probably be lower than usual. Don't spring up too fast from a lying or sitting position or you might feel a little dizzy. From now on, when you do lie down, it's best to lie on your side — or at least partly tilted to one side. (When you lie flat on your back, your uterus can compress a major vein, leading to decreased blood return to your heart.)
