Strong and Healthy!

Hey guys! I can't believe I am already 15 weeks and 2 days! That's so crazy! I feel like it was yesterday that I found out I was pregnant and it was over 2 months ago! Okay so I don't think too much has been going on, hope I can remember everything, here we go!

I've still been feeling pretty good, a little more emotional than usual but I think it's just the stress of school that's getting to me but who knows! I'm still waiting to feel Baby Ocampo but nothing yet. Gabe keeps trying to get it kicking. He keeps poking it and giving it raspberries but it's not working :( And I went to the doctor today to hear the heartbeat again. My mom and dad came with me so they could hear it (Gabe had class and he couldn't miss it). When we first heard the heartbeat my dad had this spontaneous chuckle. It was really sweet to hear. And my mom was standing there listening so closely with this look of amazement on her face. It was so great to have them there with me and I know they were glad to be a part of it! But anyways...back to the baby...the heartbeat was so loud and strong, it was 150 bpm. The doctor said my uterus is perfect! He said it's growing at the perfect rate and it's exactly where it's supposed to be! Yay!

ANNNNDDDDDD....I made the appointment to find out the sex!!!!!!! Yes in just 4 weeks we will all know what Baby Ocampo is!! OMG! I can't wait! April 14th! Crazy Stuff! Oh and I keep forgetting to let ya'll know about my weight gain through all of this. At my first appointment at 7 weeks I weighed 145, at my second appointment at 11 weeks I weighed 148, and today at 15 weeks I weighed 149. So I've only gained 4 pounds! Well I'm sure I've gained more but I don't know about the first 7 weeks! Oh well!

Okay here's my updates, belly pic, and baby ticker!

Baby Ocampo Update: Their little elbows and knees are bending more freely this week and their little legs are finally growing longer than their arms and getting pumped up for prenatal Richard Simmons. Many of their major organ systems are increasing in capacity—particularly that amazing tiny heart and complex circulation system, which is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood per day, and will increase to a very impressive 200 quarts per day by the end of the pregnancy. As far as hair goes, we’ve got some new scalp patterns beginning to develop on the head, although actual head hair is not yet present.

Mommy Update: Nothing that really relates to me. It's about all the blood flow and how it might cause nose bleeds but I don't get those. And it's about stuffy noses being caused by an increase in mucosa in the body but my nose is fine :)

Shake it baby!!!

Hey everyone! I know I know, I skipped a week! I'm sorryyy! It's been hard to keep up with all of my school work and work work! Ugh it's been rough but I'm getting by! Okay I hope I don't forget anything...here we go...

Good news! I've been feeling GREAT! I don't feel fat and gross anymore! yayy! haha. Which is kinda strange though because I'm getting bigger and my face is getting more acne! You'd think I would feel grosser about myself! I dunno whatever's going on with me I like it. To continue with the good news....GABE TOLD HIS PARENTS!!!!!! I know its a miracle...and they... were... PISSED!!! haha just kidding everyone! They were shocked of course but very, very supportive...just like I told him! Oh, and Baby Ocampo and Baby Morris went to their first concert ever with their mommies of course and their Aunty Krys and Aunt Natalie! We all went to the Britney Spears concert last Tuesday (March 3)...which was amazing! Love Love Love Britney!

I have the update for this week below but I have to point out my favorite part of it...Baby Ocampo can respond to me poking my belly or laughing/coughing/sneezing!!! I can't believe it! He/she can shake and wiggle away from me poking! That's so cool!!! When I was reading the update I started poking my belly and Gabe was like what are you doing?!! and I told him what the update said and he looked at me like I was crazy! I just wanna feel him/her!! My back pain is back again but I think it's because I've been on my feet so much and walking a lot and maybe a little to do with me gaining more weight! The other symptoms I've been having are acne, FATIGUE, more constipation, varicose veins in my chest and legs, and moodiness when I'm hungry or tired. Ugh when I write it all out it seems like so much more than it feels! Whew being pregnant comes with a price that's for sure!! Haha but it's all so worth it! Oh and my next doctor's appointment is on March 19 where I'll hear the heart beat again and then the one after that I find out what it is!!!!! ahhhh!

Quick question to mother's who read this....does anyone have any suggestions for a pediatrician in my area?! Gabe and I are supposed to have one for our next appointment! ah! Thanks in advance!

I didn't take a belly pic for week 13 but here's week 14 and Baby Ocampo and Mommy's update!

Baby's Update: At about 3.5 inches long, their little body and limber limbs are coordinated enough for loads of complicated motions. In fact, their whole body is moving right now! Your baby is also starting to develop the ability to move their eyes this week, although the eyelids still remain fused shut. What's more, they can make all sorts of fun facial expressions as they practice squinting, frowning, and grimacing. Cute development of the week: their little hands can grasp at things and they may already be sucking their thumb!

Mommy's Update: If you think you’ve got gas or some kind of odd bowel obstruction right now, it might actually just be your little one poking you hello! You’ll become more familiar with the sensation as the frequency and intensity increase (and you’ll never quite forget this special feeling!) On to the less exciting news. In your second trimester, you will most likely experience some if not all of the following symptoms to varying degrees: dizziness, headache and back pain. Unfortunately, if you’re starting to experience back pain, it will most likely increase as you gain more weight towards the end of the trimester. Although unavoidable during your waking hours, you don’t have to suffer so much during the night—there are some wonderful products out there such as the full body pregnancy pillow, which will help you make it through the night without too much undue suffering. The second trimester is typically experienced as the most exciting and enjoyable of the three— the morning sickness is gone, you definitely feel and look pregnant, but you’re not yet an overstuffed-lumbering-mammoth. Go team go!
